apricot
aficionado
The finer things in life, at least in my life, include
an afternoon of slip-n-slide, mango
milkshakes, Monica's brownies, and gory tales of
true crime.
That’s me dreaming of summer.
Here
in California, the land of folk festivals, smog and surfers,
it’s a dream that starts when the apricots
begin popping out of the Central Valley. Summer doesn’t
last long, and either do the apricots.
By mid-June, they start flying them in from Oregon.
But
a jar of golden apricot jam
lasts all winter. So enjoy it while you can.
Order
some now.
